چکیده

The problem of modeling periodic signals is considered. The approach taken here is motivated by the well known theoretical results on the existence of periodic orbits for Liénard systems and previous results on modeling periodic signals by means of second-order nonlinear ordinary differential equations (ODEs). The approach makes use of the appropriate conditions imposed on the polynomials of the Liénard’s system to guarantee the existence of a unique and stable limit cycle. These conditions reduce the number of parameters required to generate accurate models.

A modified homotopy perturbation method to periodic solution of a coupled integrable dispersionless equation

In this paper, a reliable approach is introduced to approximate periodic solutions of a system of coupled integrable dispersionless. The system is firstly, transformed into an ordinary differential equation by wave transformation. The solution of ODE is obtained by the homotopy perturbation method. To show the periodic behavior of the solution, a modification based on the Laplace transforms and...

A Proposal for a New Method of Modeling of the Quantum Dot Semiconductor Optical Amplifiers

With the advancement of nanoscale semiconductor technology, semiconductor optical amplifiers are used to amplify and process all-optical signals. Inthis paper, with the aim of calculating the gain of quantum dot semiconductor opticalamplifier (QD-SOA), two groups of rate equations and the optical signal propagatingequation are used in the active layer of the device. For t...

The Deterministic Generation of Extreme Surface Water Waves Based on Soliton on Finite Background in Laboratory

This paper aims to describe a deterministic generation of extreme waves in a typical towing tank. Such a generation involves an input signal to be provided at the wave maker in such a way that at a certain position in the wave tank, say at a position of a tested object, a large amplitude wave emerges. For the purpose, we consider a model called a spatial-NLS describing the spatial propagation o...

Explicit multiple singular periodic solutions and singular soliton solutions to KdV equation

Based on some stationary periodic solutions and stationary soliton solutions, one studies the general solution for the relative lax system, and a number of exact solutions to the Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) equation are first constructed by the known Darboux transformation, these solutions include double and triple singular periodic solutions as well as singular soliton solutions whose amplitude d...

Some analytical and numerical results for a nonlinear Volterra integro-differential equation with periodic solution modeling hematopoiesis

We consider a nonlinear Volterra integro-differential equation with periodic solution, a special case of which has been used in modeling hematopoiesis dynamics. Some analytical results concerning existence and uniqueness of a positive periodic solution are presented together with some numerical results based on the reformulation of the equation as a system of ODEs and also from its direct solut...
